Welcome to Wild Ones North Alabama Chapter!
Wild Ones promotes environmentally friendly landscaping to preserve biodiversity through the preservation, restoration, and establishment of native plant communities across the United States.
Wild Ones chapters provide the space where like-minded people can support each other in a shared journey to restore biodiversity in public and private landscapes.
Our focus in North Alabama will be on educating the community about native and invasive plants (identification, removal and propagation techniques), promoting and sharing plant materials of local provenance, and with enough volunteer support, coordinating weed wrangles to start tackling the problem of invasive species in our area. We will happily partner with local and regional organizations that share our vision and objectives. The time for action is now! The place – your backyard and favorite parks.
Join us as we learn and grow together!
We meet on the Third Thursday of each month (except December) in the South Huntsville Public Library from 6-7 PM. Please watch our Events page to stay up-to-date about our activities and any changes to our calendar.
